Cancellation/No Show Policy

We understand that your schedule can be busy, so we’ve set our system to send you friendly reminders via text or e-mail up to 48 hours prior to your appointment. Each appointment is one-on-one time we specifically allot for you. If you cannot make it, please let us know by calling 902-370-7322.

Cancelled appointments with less than 24 hours notice or no show, will be subject to a cancellation/no show fee

Physiotherapy

Whether your goal is rehabilitation from an injury, or disease and disability management, physiotherapy can help. We work with you to start the healing process, improve movement, and prevent future injury and disease.

Acupuncture

From Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture is an effective primary or adjunct treatment for acute and chronic pain and for rehabilitation. In addition, it is traditionally used to balance energy to address a wide range of emotional, digestive, hormonal and neurological disorders as well as promoting relaxation and overall wellbeing.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractors work to diagnose, treat and prevent pain-related conditions related to the joints, muscles, tendons, and nerves. They use various treatments depending on your needs, including hands-on techniques or other modalities to relieve pain and improve range of motion and function.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular Rehabilitation is a proven treatment for dizziness and balance problems and is highly effective for all age groups. It is common to feel nauseous, lightheaded, and off balance after the assessment and initial treatment as the inner ear heals itself. It is recommended that you have someone drive you home from the initial appointment. If you do not have a ride, we ask that you wait 15mins after the appointment before driving.

Concussion Management

Physiotherapy treatments can be used to assess and help improve issues with balance and coordination, along with a variety of symptoms that can occur after a concussion, including headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and neck pain. Our physiotherapists can also help by providing education on how to manage symptoms going forward to help you return to your pre-injury level of activity.

Kellyn Laverty PT

Kellyn joined our team as a Registered Physiotherapist after completing her Master’s in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in 2023.

Kellyn is from Cornwall, PEI and attended the University of Prince Edward Island to earn her Kinesiology degree in 2021.

In her spare time, Kellyn enjoys staying active by playing soccer, hiking, assisting with local sports teams and spending time with family and friends.

Keenan Lyng PT

Keenan graduated from Dalhousie University with his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. He obtained his Bachelors of Science at UPEI in 2017.

Keenan was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was raised in Rice Point, PEI.

Keenan has always been interested in health and fitness and enjoys playing Ultimate and resistance training in his spare time. He is excited to help you manage your pain and get you back to your favorite activities.

He has taken on additional specialization in vestibular rehabilitation and treatment for vertigo (BPPV).

Dr. Wendy Smith
(She/Her/Hers)

Dr. Wendy Smith earned her B.Sc.(Hon Co-op Kin) from the University of Waterloo before graduating from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1995. Her interest in acupuncture began at university when she authored her thesis on acupuncture. As a new Chiropractic graduate, she studied medical acupuncture, then added auricular medicine and finally returned to school in 2011 to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture at the Ontario College of TCM. - - - Dr. Wendy has a passion for learning and continually upgrades and expands her knowledge. She has training in Chiropractic pediatric and pregnancy care - ICPA (is Webster certified), Functional Neurology, Functional Medicine, Bio-individual Nutrition, Neuro-sensory Integration (Edu-K, Bal-A-Vis-X, MNRI), Matrix Re-patterning, Upledger Cranial-sacral therapy, Barral Neural and Visceral fascial therapy, Anatomy Trains, Fertility, Menopause and much, much more. - - - Prior to moving to Cornwall in autumn 2024, Dr. Wendy practised in North Bay, Sturgeon Falls, and more recently in Milton, and Oakville, Ontario.
