Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy

This specialized branch of Physiotherapy focuses on treatment of respiratory or chronic lung conditions. It helps manage these conditions by providing education and manual therapy to assist with airway clearance, breathing mechanics, core stability, and pacing and activity management techniques.


Concussion Management

Physiotherapy treatments can be used to assess and help improve issues with balance and coordination, along with a variety of symptoms that can occur after a concussion, including headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and neck pain. Throughout her academic journey, Brittany has developed a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and various manipulation techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy.

Will is a Licensed Naturotherapist (ACNN) on PEI and a Wellness Educator specializing in Functional Movement Therapy and Postural Re-education. Originally from the UK, his degree in Sports Science with a Post-Graduate certificate in Physical Education lead him to teach a wide range of sports and functional abilities subjects throughout England, Kenya and Kuwait, prior to transitioning full-time into the health and wellness field.

In 2010, he relocated to California to enroll in a physical rehabilitation training program founded by Dr. Meir Schneider at the School for Self Healing in San Francisco, that combined in-depth knowledge of the human body with movement patterns and self-care techniques.

His wellness certifications prepared him to combine multiple approaches to manual therapy, the Graston Technique, along with holistic principles to achieve effective body tension release and positive functional alignment.

William’s worked as a wellness practitioner at the Sports and Recreation Center at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) before joining the Chiro-Medical Group which brought together experienced professionals from a variety of disciplines (including physiotherapy, chiropractic care, medicine, nutritional therapy, soft tissue mobilization and more) to deliver a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to health and wellness care.

Andrew has been working as a Kinesiologist at reactive health for over 10 years. He graduated from Dalhousie university in 2004, and then completed a graduate degree in biomedical sciences from UPEI. He has since completed post graduate training in soft tissue release and fascial stretch therapy.

Andrew primarily focuses his clinical practice on helping individuals with more persistent muscle and joint issues (pain, weakness, tightness, chronic tension, poor posture and impaired movement) better understand and manage their physical health and wellness. He does this through exercise therapy, the application of various soft tissue techniques, as well as small group classes designed to help individuals improve their movement capacity, reduce stress and tension, and just improve the their overall quality of life.

Sarah graduated from Dalhousie University with her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy in 2021 and prior to that, completed a Bachelor in Science of Kinesiology in 2019.

Sarah is originally from New Brunswick, however, has been working in Newfoundland for the past year and half. She began her career in the acute care setting working with the orthopedic population following joint replacements and then decided to continue her journey as Physiotherapist working in private practice.

Sarah has experience working with people of all ages and has a strong interest in working with the geriatric population to promote physical activity and well being for senior’s in the community. She also has experience working with people following athletic injuries, people experiencing chronic lower back pain, and health promotion surrounding physical activity.

When Sarah is not working with people at the clinic, you can find her riding her bike, going for runs on the confederation trail, or attending local yoga classes. She loves to spend time outdoors and is always looking for a new activity to learn.

Allison started her career by obtaining an undergrad degree in Kinesiology at St. FX University in 2014. She then went on to get a Diploma in Professional Kinesiology at Lakehead University in 2015. Shortly after, she was trained in Fascial Stretch Therapy and started seeing clients as a physiotherapy assistant and building her own Kinesiology practice. After about 2 years she went back to school at the National Academy of Osteopathy to become a Manual Osteopath in 2019 and currently uses all the therapeutic tools she’s developed to treat chronic pain and postural imbalances through the body.

She also teaches chair yoga and various wellness classes at the reactive health Wellness Studio to help her clients maintain or even boost the results they get from one on one treatments.
